By profession, Oprah Winfrey is an American television talk show host, actress, producer, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and media proprietor. In the year 1976, she went to Baltimore, Maryland and began hosting the television chat show People Are Talking. She hosted the show for eight long years. The show became a big hit.
